Kristen Epifania
Kristen Epifania focuses her practice on criminal defense and family sector matters, including divorce, custody, and domestic violence. Ms. Epifania believes that communication is key to a successful attorney-client relationship and takes pride in a transparent, direct, and empathetic approach to each client.
Ms. Epifania graduated from Brooklyn Law School, where she received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, the Lisle Scholarship, and the Lark-Barranco Scholarship. While there, she pursued a specialized Certificate in Criminal Law and gained practical experience in the criminal sector, working with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in the Crimes Against Children bureau, where she assisted with the prosecution of sex crimes, assault charges, and homicides. She also interned with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, handling immigration matters that intersected with the criminal sector. In seeking to combine her passions for both the criminal and family sectors, Ms. Epifania volunteered with NYC-based Sanctuary for Families, where she handled uncontested divorce proceedings stemming from domestic violence and sex trafficking cases.
Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Epifania worked with a Manhattan-based criminal defense firm. For five years, she represented individuals on both felony and misdemeanor level matters throughout New York City, where she gained invaluable exposure to the different strategies used by prosecutors across the city. She also represented individuals in family court relating to orders of protection. This experience shaped Kristen’s dedicated and no-nonsense approach to strong advocacy for her clients.
Prior to joining Rozin Golinder Law, Ms. Epifania practiced with Williams Law Group, where she represented individuals on matters pertaining to divorce, custody, and domestic violence. She also served as a trial attorney with the Monmouth County Public Defender’s Office, where she routinely handled offenses related to assaults, domestic violence, theft, narcotics, and a variety of crimes that ranged in severity. Compassionate and aggressive, Ms. Epifania will go the extra mile to fight for those she represents.
